Kevin Chong is a global business leader and an innovator in the technology and media industries with a broad understanding of components, consumer devices, software, cloud, and contents & services. Kevin is currently a senior director of strategy & corporate development at Samsung Strategy & Innovation Center in Menlo Park, California responsible for driving corporate strategy, M&A and investments with a focus on new disruptive consumer technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, VR/AR, and interactive entertainment.
Previously, Kevin worked as the Head of the Global Business Innovation Group at Samsung Electronics Headquarters in Korea where he was responsible for driving venture company investments, acquisitions and strategic partnerships in software and content services for mobile, TV and connected home devices.
Before joining Samsung, Kevin led corporate wide initiatives for various Sony organizations including Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sony Corporation, and Sony Network Entertainment in the U.S. and Japan. Global initiatives included new media ecosystem development and online content services development for PlayStation through investments and partnerships in the contents and platform technologies.
Kevin also spent the first ten years of his career as a management consultant in the high-tech industry practice working in various cities in North America, Asia and Europe where he led worldwide business transformation programs for Fortune 100 global technology companies including IBM/Hitachi, Toyota, Fujitsu, Toshiba and Samsung.
